About Mississippi Expo for Entrepreneurs and Startups
Our Story
Formerly known as the MCSB Expo, Monroe County Small Business Expo has its roots in a humble pop-up shop event that took place in Amory, Mississippi, in 2022. This inaugural event sparked something extraordinary—a passion for empowering entrepreneurs and fostering small business growth throughout Mississippi.
As the initial success of the pop-up shop event rippled through the community, it became evident that there was a hunger for more. In response, a year later, the MCSB Expo evolved into the Mississippi Expo for Entrepreneurs and Startups (MEES), with a broader focus aimed at providing budding entrepreneurs and small business owners with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive.
Our journey is driven by a simple yet powerful purpose: to empower budding entrepreneurs and small business owners to ignite their passion and navigate their entrepreneurial journey with confidence. We believe that every entrepreneur deserves access to insightful knowledge, valuable resources, and a supportive community to help them succeed.
At MEES, we're committed to providing a platform where aspiring entrepreneurs can learn from the experiences of seasoned professionals, access essential resources, and connect with like-minded individuals who share their entrepreneurial spirit. MEET THE FOUNDER OF MEES
Esandra Riley, a Byram-based entrepreneur with deep roots in Amory, Mississippi, inherited her community-building passion from her father, Bishop L. E. Crump, and her own entrepreneurial drive.
After venturing into Social Media Management four years ago, she launched her own Photo Booth Business in 2022. However, she saw a need for budding entrepreneurs during the pandemic and founded the Mississippi Expo for Entrepreneurs and Start-Ups (MEES) formerly known as MCSB Expo, initially with pop-up shop events in Amory.
Teaming up with Aaron Washington in 2023, they aimed to bridge gaps statewide, offering resources and support for entrepreneurs to thrive.
Through MEES, Esandra is fostering a future of innovation and economic prosperity for Mississippi's entrepreneurs.
